CALL FOR ABSTRACT

The APCP 2024 Committee invites interested parties to submit abstracts and stand a chance to present their research papers at the congress.

Only original abstract of research done substantially in Asia Pacific countries may qualify.  Any abstract that has been presented orally or as a poster at previous national or international meetings in this or any other society will not be considered eligible for presentation.

Abstracts of Research Papers (Original Articles - NOT Case Report/Case Series)

Accepting submissions from March 01, 2024, until May 31, 2024, 11:59 pm, Philippine Time.  
 
I. Format of the Abstract
  1. Title: 
  2. Authors/Affiliation: 
  3. Background:

II.  Guidelines
  1. Follow the prescribed format above in Roman No. I.  Use a minimum of 200 words and a maximum of 400 words.
  2. Write the PRESENTING AUTHOR’S NAME in BOLD CAPITAL letters.
  3. All abstracts must be submitted in ENGLISH. 
  4. The TITLE should be written in CAPITAL letters. 
  5. Prepare to submit the abstract in PDF format.          
  6. Use font type: Times New Roman and size 12 pt. 
  7. Only text must be found in the abstract. No tables, images, figures, symbols, diagrams and graphs must be found in the abstract.
  8. Spell out all acronyms on first use. 
  9. Do NOT include references, credits, or grant support in your abstract.
  10. Correct grammar and spelling must be observed.
  11. Accomplish the Google Form for abstract submission which includes the contact details of the authors for the purpose of communicating pertinent announcements.
  12. Upload the abstract in PDF format only.
  13. Indicate what Year the Research Paper was completed or finalized.        
  14. Indicate (Yes or No) if this Abstract has been Previously Presented as a poster or oral presentation.                        
  15. Indicate (Yes or No) if the research protocol was approved by an ethics review board prior to implementation.
  16. Abstracts are Not to be revised nor resubmitted after the deadline date of May 31, 2024, 11:59 PM, Philippine time.               
  17. The Cancellation of Abstract Submission must be done on or before June 10, 2024, 11:59 pm, Philippine time.  Place Subject: Cancellation of Submission.
  18. Expect the Notification of Acceptance in the Presenting Author's Email Address between June 1 to 30, 2024.  Acknowledge receipt.  Payment of the registration fee is required to secure your slot.  Instructions on how to upload the proof of registration payment will be sent together with the Notification of Acceptance.
  19. A request for the Withdrawal of the Accepted Abstract must be done through the official email address: APCP2024abstracts@gmail.com, on or before July 15, 2024, 11:59 PM, Philippine time.  Place Subject: Request Withdrawal.
  20. An author may submit more than one abstract but accomplish One (1) Google Form for One (1) Abstract (1:1).  Only ONE and the SAME Abstract must be submitted in one Google Form.

Abstract Submission of Interesting Case Report/Case Series

MECHANICS for the SUBMISSION of ABSTRACTS on INTERESTING CASE REPORT/CASE SERIES*

*Definition of Terms:

  1. Case Report must have one (1) up to a maximum of five (5) cases.
  2. Case Series must have at least three (3) to a maximum of ten (10) cases.

I. Format of the Abstract

  1. Title
  2. Author Name/s
  3. Background (1-2 sentences)

a. Explain why this/these case/s is/are being reported, the novelty and clinical relevance.

  1. Case Presentation (3-6 sentences)

a. Brief description of the patient’s or patients’ medical and demographic details, their diagnosis, and interventions or complications, and the outcomes. The level of detail should be determined by importance to the novelty and outcomes of the case/s.

  1. Discussion/Conclusion (1-2 sentences)

a. Briefly summarize the clinical impact and/or implications of this/these case/s and provide suggestions for the clinical area.

b. Emphasize the main take-away lesson(s) from the case/s: aspects of the case/s that may have broader implications; suggest precautions that should be taken; or be interesting topics for future research.
